You Can Help!

Ways To Give

Thank you for your charitable support of our mission. Together, we help seniors age at home independently and with dignity through nutritious meals, mobility support and caring visits that let them know they are not alone, all while reducing healthcare costs for our community.

Charitable gifts are as individual as the people making the contributions. There are many ways to give, each offering you the opportunity to align with your values, take advantage of tax-smart strategies and make the meaningful and lasting difference you desire. Whether you are providing for a senior’s basic needs today or helping sustain our programs for future generations, your generosity makes a difference in the lives of seniors and our community.

  • Your gifts of cash and check make an immediate impact in the lives of the seniors we serve! Cash gifts can be made at our office and if you prefer to write a check, please make it payable to Seniors First, Inc. Our office address where you can visit for securely making cash gifts or where you can mail your check is:  5395 McLeod Road, Orlando, FL 32811.

  • Your online gifts can make an immediate and sustainable impact on the lives of the seniors we serve. You can make a secure, one-time gift or set up a recurring payment whether monthly, quarterly or annually via an online credit card donation.

  • Our monthly donors are our GEM Society (giving every month). The GEM Society provides steady, reliable support for our programs. Your monthly gifts ensure our seniors can count on a warm meal, a friendly visit and the dignity of living at home today and tomorrow.

  • Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) are the fastest growing charitable giving vehicle allowing individuals to contribute cash, stocks or other assets into an investment which can provide an immediate tax benefit and grow through investments. You can recommend directly with your DAF sponsoring organization a grant to Seniors First, Inc. EIN 59-2759603, 5395 LB McLeod Rd, Orlando FL 32811. Please be sure to advise Kimberlee Riley once you have made the recommendation to ensure we are able to thank you properly.

  • Charitable distributions from retirement accounts support our mission of enhancing the lives of seniors and maintaining their independence and dignity. Individuals 70 ½ or older may give a gift from their IRA to a qualified charity like Seniors First as a QCD (qualified charitable distribution) or RMD (required minimum distribution) which can lower your taxable income. • An endowment fund provides a lasting gift as a source of annual and perpetual income. Endowments can be established with a minimum gift of $10,000, with a one-time donation of cash or appreciated assets or a pledge of recurring or planned gifts or through a collective initiative. The amount donated is invested and forms the principal which is endowed to ensure sustainability of the programs supporting seniors in our community. Earnings from the investments are eligible for annual distributions.

  • Employer matching gift programs allow you to team up and combine your employee benefit and your donation to Seniors First to make a greater impact. Check to see if your employer matches gifts, review the matching gift instructions, make your donation and submit your match request.

  • You can name Seniors First, Inc. as a beneficiary of your bank accounts, investment accounts, life insurance policies, donor advised fund and retirement accounts (including Roth IRAs, 401ks and 403bs and other pension plans). Beneficiary designations are legacy gifts serving our seniors and the ongoing work of Seniors First, Inc. To learn more about legacy gifts visit our 1966 Society page.

  • Leave a legacy through a bequest to Seniors First in your will or trust. When you designate a specific or residual amount to Seniors First through a bequest, you make an impact far beyond your lifetime. Your legacy is a testament to what and who you value and love. We encourage everyone, regardless of age and circumstances, to define your intentions in a will to ensure taking care of yourself, your loved ones and the causes on your heart.

  • Your real estate or personal property can be a gift for generations to come. By donating all or part of your real estate property or some of your personal property to Seniors First you may be able to reduce your capital gains tax, receive an income tax deduction while also continuing to use or live on the property. Best of all, your gift will support local seniors.

  • Gifts of non-perishable food items support our community pantry and Non-food items such as personal hygiene items support our seniors in the Meals on Wheels and Neighborhood Lunch programs. During the holidays gifts of Walmart and Publix $20 cards provide an individual gift for our seniors. In-kind gifts can be collected by groups and businesses to support local seniors together. Donations can be delivered to our offices at 5395 LB McLeod Road, Orlando, FL 32811.

  • Each year, Seniors First hosts two signature events that raise vital awareness, friends and funds to combat senior hunger and social isolation in Central Florida. While each event is unique, both highlight the critical programs we provide to help seniors age with dignity, independence, and connection. Your participation helps provide meals, in-home support, and companionship to seniors who need it most. • Memorial and tribute gifts offer a meaningful way to celebrate life’s special moments or honor the memory of someone dear. Tribute gifts can mark birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, graduations, or other important milestones. A memorial gift serves as a lasting tribute, helping your loved one’s legacy live on through support that makes a real difference for others. Your thoughtful contribution not only honors someone special but also brings comfort, hope, and care to the seniors we serve.

  • Volunteers are the heart of our mission, bringing compassion, energy, and a personal touch to the services that help seniors live independently with dignity. Opportunities range from delivering nutritious meals and providing companionship to assisting with special events, administrative projects, or community outreach. Training and support are provided.  Together, we can turn compassion into action and make every day a little brighter for the seniors we serve.
