Volunteer opportunities include:

Friendly Visitor

  • Offer companionship and socialization to seniors in need
  • Ideal for individuals with just a few extra hours per week and a strong desire to help seniors within their community
  • Volunteers typically go for walks with clients, run errands or just visit

Senior Companion

Seniors helping seniors!

  • Seniors over the age of 60 with limited incomes may qualify for our stipend Senior Companion Program
  • Receive a modest, tax-free stipend ($2.65 per hour), as well as mileage reimbursement, meal reimbursement, paid time off, ongoing training, and free annual physicals
  • Spend approximately 15 hours per week visiting clients, helping with errands and correspondence, and simply doing what friends do … making someone smile

Meals on Wheels

  • Deliver meals to homebound seniors
  • Pickup sites throughout Orange County
  • Routes open Monday-Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
  • Volunteers use their own transportation

Neighborhood Lunch Program

  • Assist with serving meals to the seniors
  • Sites throughout Orange County
  • Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
  • Volunteer groups and individuals are encouraged to donate items such as games, arts and crafts, and puzzles

Home Improvement

  • Volunteer groups provide exterior painting
  • Any day Monday-Saturday, by appointment
  • Supervised on-the-job training

Adult Day Center

  • Assist clients with activities, companionship and support. 
  • Bring your own special talent or program that the clients might enjoy

Office Volunteers

  • Assist with front desk reception
  • Data entry
  • Word processing
  • Bulk mailing
  • Filing and other clerical duties
